From Experience Week to Findhorn Experience Week: From I to We

How our learning pathway is evolving and how you can join us soon

For over sixty years, people have come to Findhorn not simply to learn about community, spirituality, or sustainable living — but to experience a way of living these values together.

Experience Week became one of the primary gateways into the spiritual community at the Park Ecovillage Findhorn. For many thousands of people around the world, it marked a moment of remembering — that inner listening matters, that relationship is a spiritual practice, and that how we live together shapes the future of the world we are creating.

As the Findhorn Foundation and the community at Ecovillage Findhorn enter a new chapter, we’ve been holding a careful and wholehearted question:

How do we honour this legacy while responding to the world as it is today?

Listening Before Designing

Over the past year, a small group of educators, trustees, and community members have engaged in a process of deep listening — to our history, to our present context, and the evolving needs of people seeking meaningful community and spiritual learning.

What we’re sensing is not a call for more content, but for deeper coherence.

Not simply a week to attend — but a learning pathway that unfolds over time.

This listening has shaped the emergence of our Signature Programme pathway, with a renewed introduction to community life, its shared practices and daily rhythms at the heart.

Findhorn Experience Week: From I to We

We are naming this foundational journey:

Findhorn Experience Week: From I to We.

The name reflects a simple and profound movement:

From individual awareness…
Into relational presence…
And outward into planetary responsibility.

It honours the recognisability of Experience Week — long associated with spiritual community life at Ecovillage Findhorn — while making visible the fuller arc that has always lived within it: that inner transformation and collective living are not ends in themselves, but contributions to the wider world.

This five-day residential immersion offers an experiential introduction to life at Ecovillage Findhorn, one of the UK’s longest-standing spiritual and ecological communities. Participants explore inner listening, nature connection, and living in community — discovering how we care for one another and the planet through shared practices and daily rhythms.

Rather than presenting ideas upfront, the experience invites learning from the inside out — through shared meals, reflective practice, conversation, time in nature, everyday acts of Love in Action and in the simple, shared moments of daily life.

It is less about acquiring knowledge and more about embodying a way of being that connects self, others, and the world.

A Learning Pathway for our Times

Findhorn Experience Week: From I to We marks the first step into a wider learning pathway designed to support personal transformation, relational depth, and planetary awareness.

Alongside this foundational experience, we are developing seven-day themed immersions — including The Findhorn Garden, Life as a Mystery School, and Finding Sanctuary — each offering a distinct doorway into deeper engagement with self, community, and planet.

Participants may choose a single programme or continue along the pathway into further immersive learning. Each step stands alone, forming part of a coherent journey — with interrelated gateways woven throughout the wider ecosystem of learning.

An Invitation

The first Findhorn Experience Week: From I to We will take place from 26 April, with additional dates scheduled throughout the year.

We’re sharing this as both an announcement and an invitation to those who have previously experienced Findhorn, and to those seeking a meaningful introduction to spiritual community life in an ecovillage setting.

The unfolding story continues to evolve with you all.

We look forward to welcoming you into the learning, the living, and the co-creation.
