A Beltane Gift from Iona
In celebration of the Celtic festival of Beltane, we are delighted to share a link to Beltane: Celtic Wisdom for our Time. This is the intro session to the eight-part Findhorn Foundation online series, Spirit of Iona, created by Katherine Collis and friends.
Traigh Bhan, the retreat house on the Isle of Iona
This series was created during COVID in 2022 when most of us could not travel. The Spirit of Iona speaks to us again at a time when the need for healing and renewal, vision and guidance, and the call for peace is more urgent than ever.
Spirit of Iona: Beltane, Celtic Wisdom for our Time. Intro session to an 8-part series.
For centuries, Iona, like many holy places, has been a centre that reawakens a commitment to uphold the sacredness of all life in service to the world, most especially during cycles of great change, crisis, and opportunity – a call now from the very Earth herself.
This video series helps connect us to the natural rhythms, liminal beauty and ancient stone of Iona. It features people who are giving voice to the deep spirituality of the Celtic world – a spiritual approach that is alive wherever we may be.
Traigh Bhan and Iona from the air. By Mark Richards
For 53 years, the Findhorn Foundation and Community has lovingly cared for Traigh Bhan, the retreat house on Iona. As the Findhorn Foundation Trust winds down and passes its assets to smaller, more focused community organisations, a new legal structure has been created to carry the work forward.
Led by Katherine and Roger Collis, ‘Traigh Bhan Iona, Limited’ is now in the process of applying for charitable status. ‘We are currently tending to the needs of this 100-year-old house – conducting repairs, listening to its story, and working towards reopening to retreat guests later in the year,’ said Roger and Katherine.
If you are interested in future offerings from our sister centre on Iona – the retreat house Traigh Bhan and Sanctuary of the White Strand, please join their mailing list to stay up to date.
