The safety of our visitors is of utmost concern and we place great importance on the safety of our visitors, staff and the wider community.

We are reviewing the latest UK and Scottish Government advice on a daily basis and how this could affect your retreat and will continue to update this page as necessary, you can find this information here. Check here for information about the levels at The Findhorn Foundation, Moray, IV36 3TZ.

All bookings are subject to Scottish Government restrictions, please only book if no restrictions are applied to the area you are travelling from or here in Moray.

Registration

Unless exempt, visitors are required to wear a mask when registering and are also required to complete a short track and trace form. These forms are kept for 21 days and are then confidentially shredded.

Please be advised that a valid proof of address is required at the point of registration, either in the form of a driving licence or a current utility bill no older than 3 months.
In line with our Terms & Conditions, management reserves the right to refuse access to the site and your booking can’t be guaranteed if proof of address is not provided.
To reduce contact, we are unable to accept any cash payments; all payments must be paid in full 28 days prior to arrival.

Departure

You must vacate your site by 2pm on the day of departure unless an extension of your stay has been agreed with the Findhorn Hinterland Trust (FHT) land manager.

Your commitment to us

It is imperative that you do not travel if you, or any of your party are showing symptoms of Covid-19, or have been in contact with someone who tested positive within 10 days of your check-in.

Please read and familiarise yourself and your party with the following public health and government information:

If you or a member of your party develop symptoms of COVID-19 during your stay or within 10 days of your return home you must inform us immediately.

What to do if you become unwell whilst on site

Scottish Government guidance states that you should stay indoors and self-isolate. Immediately book a test through NHS Inform using your holiday address or, if you can’t get online, by phoning 0800 028 2816.

If your test is positive you must inform us, preferably by email [email protected] If you are well enough to travel you should return home and self-isolate in accordance with current Government guidance.

If you are unwell and are required to self isolate in our property, in accordance with guidelines imposed by the Scottish Government in relation to Covid-19, you will be required to pay for any additional nights to your pre-booked period.

Test and Protect is part of Scotland’s approach to preventing the spread of coronavirus in the community.

If your booking is affected by Covid-19 from any of the following scenarios i.e. any lockdown restrictions or; you or someone in your household contracts Covid-19 or has been asked by Test & Trace/Test & Protect to self isolate (evidence of this will be required) or if the The Findhorn Foundation/FHT is forced to temporarily close due to restrictions mentioned then we can issue a full refund for the booking.

People should comply with the rules applicable to their local authority area in Scotland. Please note the levels and the contents of the levels is reviewed on a regular basis.

Terms & Conditions

  1. Bookings made through our online system are provisional until confirmed by us.
  2. The Findhorn Foundation and the Findhorn Hinterland Trust (FHT) and its employees shall not be liable for any damage to or loss or theft from any accommodation or other property, nor for any injury, accident or mishap to any person on the site, unless the same be caused or contributed to by a negligence or default on the part of the Findhorn Foundation, the FHT or its employees.
  3. Management reserves the right to refuse permission to use the site.
  4. Parents are responsible for the supervision of their children and all minors around The Park, The Hinterland, and Findhorn Foundation and facilities at all times.
  5. Dogs are only permitted by prior agreement. There will be an extra charge of £25 per week or part thereof for dogs (maximum 2 dogs per property). Dogs must be house-trained, kept under proper control and not left unattended.
  6. Dogs must be kept under control at all times, and on a lead when outside in the Park and the woods. Pet owners are responsible for clearing up any dog fouling. Pets are not permitted in communal buildings.
  7. During the week a central fire will be provided by the organisers. Fires and barbecues outside this area are not permitted.
  8. For the safety of all, there is a speed limit of 5 mph on the site. Any person exceeding this limit, or driving without due care, will be asked to leave. Please note that we request that no vehicles are parked on the grass.
  9. Musical instruments, TV’s and radios, portable music devices and all motor vehicles must not be used to cause nuisance to others, especially between the hours of 9.30pm – 8.30am.
  10. Firearms, of any kind, are not permitted in The Findhorn Foundation at any time. Any persons found to be in possession of firearms will be asked to leave.
  11. Any abusive or threatening behaviour will not be tolerated and Management reserves the right to ask Guests to leave.
  12. Registration is from 2pm. Guests expecting to arrive after 2pm must notify the land manager of their expected time of arrival. The latest time of arrival is 5pm (by prior arrangement).
  13. You must vacate your site by 2pm on the day of departure unless an extension of your stay has been agreed with the FHT land manager.
  14. Retreats cannot be booked by minors (those under the age of 18 without the direct supervision of at least one responsible adult.) Bookings for 18-21 year olds must have written approval from Management.
  15. Only those booked on the week should occupy tents.
  16. Covid-19: It is imperative that you do not travel if you, or any of your party are showing symptoms of Covid-19, or have been in contact with someone who tested positive within 10 days of your check-in.
    • Please read and familiarise yourself and your party with the following public health and government information:
    • COVID-19 guidance from NHS Scotland and the Scottish Government, including physical distancing measures and advice for infected households.
    • If you or a member of your party develop symptoms of COVID-19 during your stay or within 10 days of your return home you must inform us immediately.
    • If you are required to self isolate in our property, in accordance with guidelines imposed by the UK and Scottish Governments in relation to Covid-19, you will be responsible for all additional costs for any additional nights outwith the pre- booked period.
  17. Payment of a deposit constitutes accepting these conditions.

Cancellations & Refunds

  1. A £95 non-refundable deposit is required to confirm booking. The balance is to be paid in full one month before the retreat commencement date.
  2. If you cancel in less than 7 days of your arrival then we cannot refund your payment. If you cancel more than 7 days before your arrival date we will refund your payment, less the non-refundable deposit – so, for example, if you are booked to arrive on a Saturday you must inform us by the previous Saturday of your intention to cancel in order to qualify for any refund.
    • For this reason, we strongly recommend you take out your own travel insurance for UK holidays which covers booking cancellations. This will give you the peace of mind that you will get your money back if you need to cancel your holiday at almost the last minute. If you choose not to then you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to your cancellation.
    • If you cancel your booking due to Covid-19 from any of the following scenarios, then we will issue a full refund for the booking.
      • any lockdown restrictions
      • you or someone in your household contracts Covid-19 or has been asked by Test & Trace/Test & Protect to self isolate (evidence of this will be required)
      • if the The Findhorn Foundation is forced to temporarily close due to government restrictions mentioned
      • If there is an outbreak of Covid-19 on site and we can’t fulfill your booking,

    Early departure by your choice does not attract any refund.
