Explore what it means to be a man in the modern world in this four-day onsite workshop with Douglas Drummond.
In a world where toxic masculinity is pervasive and damaging our societies, many men have felt the calling to reclaim their true embodiment; to live, breathe and share with courage, integrity and respect.
For men, the ability to ask for support, acknowledge wounds and be vulnerable in the face of fear has been a sign of weakness, further contributing to a cycle of self-denial, low self-esteem and retaliation against their higher selves.
This is a rare opportunity for men to gather in a retreat setting, to support one another in navigating challenges and explore what it means to be a man in its fullest potential.
For men, and those who identify as men, of all ages who are ready for a journey that uses the power generated through open sharing, focused presence and unconditional support to fuel an expedition towards what it means to be an embodied man.
Join fellow men on a hero’s journey and explore what it means to be a man in this modern world with courage, integrity and receptivity.
During this impactful weekend, you will experience movement, group shares and sensory awareness in order to explore your edges, intentionality and vulnerability in the strength and company of other like-minded men.
Using the tools of the 5Rhythms® movement practice, you will ground into your emotional presence and learn to create non-judgment and supportive witnessing in a safe space to help heal your mind, body and spirit.
The 5Rhythms® is a dynamic movement meditation practice founded at the Esalen Institute by Gabriele Roth and explores how energy, emotion and spirit move through the body.
We are excited to host you as an overnight guest or a non-residential guest.

Douglas Drummond is a teacher of the 5Rhythms® for over 10 years. He has worked with groups facilitating embodiment in workshop settings, music festivals, online courses and regular in-person classes internationally.
Douglas’s primary philosophy is that we are multifaceted beings that at-times lose our way when under stress and misaligned actions. Instruction is as much about teaching as it is a reminder of what we already know through activating our instinct and intuition.
