Forres's local community choir was founded 12 years ago by Kate O'Connell and Bill Henderson and has contributed hugely in that time to creating a vibrant feast of singing around Moray. The choir's stunning sound belies the fact that many who joined the group thought they could not sing. They have sung at Community events all around Moray including The Forres Burgess Ceremony and The Commonwealth Games Relay. Now Kate is leaving and this concert is to celebrate her time with the choir. They will sing some of their favourite songs, spanning a repertoire of inspirational songs from around the world. Also on the bill are the Wee Big Choir, an offshoot of the larger group directed by Kate. And as always there will be plenty of audience participation harmony songs which will be taught on the night. An uplifting evening.
