Using circle dance, meditation and body awareness, master sacred dance teacher Nanni Kloke will guide us on a journey to develop our understanding of the symbolic and spiritual relationship between humans and trees.
The tree, with its branches reaching up into the sky and roots deep in the earth, can be seen to dwell in three worlds. It is a link between heaven, earth and the underworld, uniting above and below. Trees are significant in many of the world’s mythologies and religions, and have been given deep and sacred meanings throughout the ages. As we observe the growth and death of trees and the annual death and revival of their foliage, we can connect to them as powerful symbols of growth, death and rebirth.
In this workshop Nanni’s method of dance work, The Harmony Method®, will open new pathways of connection with our inner dancer. Her knowledge of bodywork with emotional and symbolic expressions in movement complement her deeply spiritual engagement with the dance. Both aspects tap into Sacred Dance’s deep roots at the Findhorn Foundation, which has served as a centre for it for decades.
Our quoted prices are fully inclusive of participation in the workshop or event, accommodation in our guest rooms (including towels and linen), all meals and refreshments, and full access to our community facilities like our meditation sanctuaries. Some facilities, like our saunas and hot tub, ask for a donation for use.
