We know everything we need to know at any given moment.
Intuition plays a unique role in our lives. Intuition is that guiding sense of knowing that arises from within us and expresses itself through a sense of the rightness of particular insights, feelings or actions. Intuition allows us to cut through the complexities of a situation and get to the heart of the matter. It enables us to bypass confusing and complicated circumstances and to see what is for the highest good for all concerned. In this Findhorn spiritual retreat, we will discover the unique ways that intuition speaks to us personally, within a relaxed and centring environment.
Intuition can come to us in a variety of ways. It can be as much a physical sensation or need to move and take action as it can be a feeling, insight or mental picture. It can arise as a felt-sense (which includes the physical sensations of our body) as much as emotions. Intuition can express through all our different channels of life experience in a physical body because it comes from levels of awareness beyond the physical.
We will also gain ways of blending it seamlessly into our daily life. Intuition can inform our normal daily routine and enable it to become an expression of something beyond personal, limited concerns. The messages and information we receive through it are windows to our more expanded aspects. Moreover, intuition can enrich our daily life so that we see mundane tasks from a much deeper perspective, allowing us to begin experiencing more of the sacredness and transformational potential of each moment.
One thing we gain through intuition is that we “realise” ourselves. Realise not only means “to become aware of” it also means “to make real”. Through intuition we realise our spirit into daily life. We allow the divine spark within a chance to express itself and to transform our attitudes and therefore transform our experience. This leads to a solidity and meaning to our life which we might not have had before. We are no longer functioning only through the consciousness which comes with this “experience of separation”. We can begin to see into the essence of the situation.
Intuition is immensely practical as it enables us to make life choices from a deeper place of knowing. This allows us to move through life with a sense of purpose and direction as well as a sense of appreciation and caring (perhaps even a sense of awe) about what is really taking place in the life and the world around us and within us. Through intuition we discover our true sense of belonging. We discover that we belong to a timeless realm and are part of a timeless spirit. We begin to discover who we truly are.

Our Spiritual Retreat Weeks offer a supportive environment for personal and spiritual development within the transformational field of Findhorn. Learn new tools and develop a range of skills you can incorporate into everyday life. Explore meditation and other exercises, and through living our founding principles approach ordinary activities in a mindful way that gives space for presence, creativity and joy.
There are daily sessions as a group and four shifts in Foundation service departments to integrate your spiritual life with daily living. The retreat is less of a group experience than Experience Week and the group is generally smaller. Deepen into the rhythm of daily meditation within the community and enjoy free time to join some of the special events also planned that week.
If you are contemplating a longer term commitment at Findhorn, a Spiritual Retreat Week offers an insight into living and engaging here. It also serves as a prerequisite for joining some of our further Essential Findhorn programmes such as the Living in Community Guest Programme and Living Essentials Apprentice Programme.
Our quoted prices are fully inclusive of participation in the workshop or event, accommodation in our guest rooms (including towels and linen), all meals and refreshments, and full access to our community facilities like our meditation sanctuaries. Some facilities, like our saunas and hot tub, ask for a donation for use.
