Shamanism is considered the oldest spiritual practice in the world. Over hundreds of thousands of years, it has evolved and adapted to the needs of the time. In recent decades, cross-cultural approaches have merged traditions around the world, developing practices that can be bridged into our modern culture smoothly. Today many people explore and practise shamanism not necessarily to become shamanic healers but out of a desire to learn and walk a path in life that is more aligned with the natural world, more open to working in partnership with the invisible realm, more able to offer purpose, meaning, and ways of being in service to others and the planet. In this workshop we will explore shamanism as a way of life in our contemporary world.
As a path of direct revelation shamanism is a path of empowerment. Sources of guidance and wisdom become accessible without any intermediary. Techniques like shamanic journeying establish connections with compassionate helping spirits in the invisible realm that provide support, inspiration and healing.
Nature is a powerful ally, teaching us about change and the cycles of life, supporting us in transforming negative energy, providing wisdom and deep healing.
Experiencing a world view in which everything is alive and has spirit, is connected and part of the web of life, allows unity consciousness to arise and expand.
Walking the shamanic path brings passion and meaning back into our lives, supports us in releasing limiting beliefs about ourselves and our collective future, helps us tend our inner gardens and open up to a new and better dream for ourselves and all of life. We are invited and supported to experience the light that we truly are and to become a healing presence in the world.
The workshop is mostly experiential, based on the work of shamanic teacher Sandra Ingerman, and welcomes beginners as well as participants with previous experience.
Throughout the week there will be an emphasis on receiving direct guidance in order to empower participants and to honour the uniqueness of each individual while at the same time offering experiences of the exponential power that arises from working together.
A variety of tools will be introduced, mostly simple and easily applicable in everyday life. These will support participants to walk more and more the path of spirit towards a world of balance and collaboration with the invisible realm after the workshop is over.
