A story lies in each connection we make with nature. There is a story between us and the stone we find on the beach, the tree outside our window, the wind blowing through our chimney in winter. Silent dialogues are created by our connections with Nature and feed our journey on Earth.
In this Sacred Stage workshop we will enter the darkness of winter and the silent space within to experience the energy of the end and the beginning, chanting and using poetry to unlock the door towards the new and the unknown.
Creative movement and the use of masks will open that door, allowing us to explore new perceptions of our existence.
We will consciously enter into dialogue with the four elements – earth, air, fire and water – using the medium of art to unfold the stories encrypted in Nature, honouring and strengthening our connections with the elemental beings.
We will explore a new relationship with Earth by giving natural objects the power to express our visions and manifest their energy in our reality.
We will witness fire’s power of transformation and see our part in accepting change as part of the process of life. Water and air will teach us detachment and will show us the power of letting go.
Looking into the metaphors that Nature offers, celebrating beauty and harmony around us, we will widen our perceptions and set ourselves free to reconceive and remodel our lives in new ways.
This workshop is suited to anyone interested in exploring their creativity and deepening their relationship with Nature. Complete beginners are welcome and no knowledge or experience in theatre or visual art is required. Just bring your openness, your passion and your heart.
