Music has a profound effect on us physically, emotionally, psychologically and on deeper levels. Music has the power to change our heart rhythm, metabolism, thought patterns and brain waves.
Music influences our consciousness more profoundly as well. Music can affect our mood, our state of being and even our spiritual connections.
Sound and music have the power to heal body and mind. They can lead us into encounters with realities beyond our everyday consciousness and open inner doors to other dimensions. Music has long been known to serve as a gateway to other worlds. In many spiritual traditions, music or sound is considered the fundamental nature of reality.
This workshop will take you beyond experiencing music merely as entertainment, to engaging in its deeper mystery and magic. When you take time to truly explore sound and immerse yourself in its subtleties, colours, textures and range, new worlds of perception and experience will unfold.
Your experience of music can become transcendent and even your ordinary life experience can begin to reveal rich, unguessed depths as your perception grows and becomes more nuanced. You may even begin to experience some of the power of sound and music to alter reality.
This workshop will explore the power of music to transform our lives and lead to higher forms of realisation. Through the experience of music and sound, we can explore how our inner experience and the outer world are connected – and, perhaps, unified.
The vision is to enable you to experience how sound and vibration are paths to connect to your deeper self, experience transcendence and explore music as a path towards spiritual enlightenment.
You will come away from this week with:
The week will include a diversity of exercises drawn from facilitator Sarah Perricone’s many years of experience teaching about music and consciousness to groups and individuals.
The sessions will be varied, including listening, games and exercises, sound journeys in nature, meditation, sound healing sessions and the experience of tuning in to the environment. Throughout the week we will deepen progressively into the experience of music and sound.
You do not need to be a trained musician to experience this workshop, although if you are you will come away with a deeper connection to your art.
Our quoted prices are fully inclusive of participation in the workshop or event, accommodation in our guest rooms (including towels and linen), all meals and refreshments, and full access to our community facilities like our meditation sanctuaries.
