Are you ready to turn the page in your life and take a leap into the next chapter? The Living Essentials Apprentice Programme (LEAP) offers you the opportunity to live, work and learn in the Findhorn Foundation for an extended period of time. Living in a spiritual community, all day every day, is a life-changing immersion into new ways of seeing and being with yourself, with others and with the world.
If you are aiming to become a member of staff here at the Findhorn Foundation, this programme is an essential step on the journey. It is also for anyone who wants an opportunity to practise applying spiritual principles in your everyday life, learning awareness and gaining skills to take with you wherever you go.
If accepted onto LEAP, you join in a service department where you help to provide the essentials of community for our weekly guests to visit and experience, while you also engage in your own spiritual and personal development and participate in community meetings and gatherings. It’s a full-on experience! You would commit to participating fully in life here, including working some weekends. We will provide you with food, simple accommodation and a supportive learning environment, including weekly group meetings and mentoring.
We consider applications for LEAP in a process of mutual assessment of your time here in previous programmes such as Living in Community Guest (LCG), and through attunement. Spaces on the LEAP programme are subject to the needs of our service departments and availability of living space at the time of your application.
After doing Experience Week plus three months of LCG, you can apply to spend two to six months as a Short-Term LEAP apprentice. Following assessment and review, if you wish to make a longer commitment (six months minimum) you can become a Long-Term LEAP apprentice. Long-Term LEAP begins twice a year with five intense days of deeper induction into the principles and spiritual practice of the Findhorn Foundation.
We welcome applications for this programme all year round.
Participation in this programme does not guarantee you will become a member of staff at the end.
Our quoted prices are fully inclusive of participation in the workshop or event, accommodation in our guest rooms (including towels and linen), all meals and refreshments, and full access to our community facilities like our meditation sanctuaries. Some facilities, like our saunas and hot tub, ask for a donation for use.

Before you book your place, please take a moment to consider that the Findhorn Foundation is a Charitable Trust. We believe that the benefits of holistic learning should be available to everyone regardless of their financial or life situation, and that the transformational journey is enriched by a diversity of participants.
We recognise that what is affordable for some can be a financial stretch for others and offer a tiered pricing structure. When you book, please select the price that feels appropriate for you.
Pay it Forward Price covers the cost of your workshop and includes a contribution to our bursary fund. This will make participation possible for one or more people who otherwise would not be able to join our transformational work in the world.
Sustainable Price covers the cost of your workshop and helps us to sustain our learning and guest facilities.
Supported Price reflects a partial bursary toward the cost of your workshop and is intended for those with minor financial need.
Next intake date for Long Term LEAP: 14 October 2017.
Please apply for Long Term LEAP at least one month in advance, i.e. 14 September 2017.
