Sacred Dance is a collection of traditional dances and contemporary choreographies, which work on many levels to create community through celebration and devotion. It is also a spiritual practice that transforms and heals, and you can learn how to create a dance field for participants to experience its full power.
In these two weeks you’ll learn 16 dances in depth, with detailed notes and recordings of the music, and have the opportunity to lead dances and receive feedback. You’ll learn skills in leading groups, creating a programme of dances and attuning to the energy of the dance. What makes the Findhorn workshop unique is the opportunity to lead dances at the open Wednesday night Sacred Dance event in the Universal Hall – a beautiful venue, which embodies the spirit of co-creation, community and connection, has a rich field of transformation that is added to with each event and workshop, and is situated on a power point within the Findhorn community .
Suitable for those who already have some experience of Sacred Circle Dance or folk dance.
Previous participation in an Experience Week is recommended but not essential.
Our quoted prices are fully inclusive of participation in the workshop or event, accommodation in our guest rooms (including towels and linen), all meals and refreshments, and full access to our community facilities like our meditation sanctuaries. Some facilities, like our saunas and hot tub, ask for a donation for use.
