Esalen® Massage is a unique form of bodywork developed at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California. Known for its long integrating strokes, this method creates an experience of deep relaxation, supporting the natural ability of body and mind to self-heal.

Esalen MassageAn overview of Esalen Massage, enabling you to give a full body massage on completion of the course, will be complemented by daily meditation, yoga and other movement disciplines to experience the qualities of awareness and flowing presence central to this method.

This introductory week is suitable both for beginners wanting to deepen into the healing art of touch, as well as experienced bodyworkers interested in learning the Esalen approach.

A month-long programme Esalen Massage Certification Training will be offered at the Findhorn Foundation starting in April 2017.

Pay it Forward Price covers the cost of your workshop and includes a contribution to our bursary fund. This will make participation possible for one or more people who otherwise would not be able to join our transformational work in the world.

Sustainable Price covers the cost of your workshop and helps us to sustain our learning and guest facilities.

Supported Price reflects a partial bursary toward the cost of your workshop and is intended for those with minor financial need.

Includes 7 nights accommodation and all meals.

Please note that all our workshops have a Findhorn Foundation community member present either as focaliser or assistant.

Mika Oishi

Mika Oishi has taught massage and bodywork around the world, including Japan, Bali and Hawaii. She is a dedicated practitioner and teacher who has studied Esalen® Massage, yoga, dance, meditation, craniosacral therapy, and Deep Bodywork (with Perry and Johanna Holloman). Her passion is teaching the wisdom of the body to students of all levels.
