Guidance from Eileen Caddy

Find That Inner Joy Of The Spirit And Accept It As A Gift From Me

What does the joy of the Spirit really mean to you? Do you wake up in the morning with a feeling of deep joy and gratitude within you? Do you open your eyes and see before you all My blessings and recognise them for what they are and give eternal thanks for them? Can you just sit and Be and feel that intense joy welling up in you like a spring of crystal water, a joy so deep within you that no one and nothing could possibly interfere with it or mar it? The joy of the Spirit does not spring from without but from deep within and is then expressed without by every minute thing, which your eyes rest upon. When you lose that joy of the Spirit it is difficult to see beauty and goodness in anything. It is all there, all around you, but your eyes and your senses become dimmed and dull and everything appears to have a grey mist around it so nothing is clear. Your heart is heavy and you are blind and deaf to all the wonders all around you. You are so concerned about yourself you miss the really vital things in life. How can you rectify this state of being? It can be done very quickly if you really want to change it. Go away by yourself and be very, very still and allow My peace to infill you. You will find it happening in that stillness. All the grey mist will disappear, the atmosphere within and around you will clear and once again you will find that inner joy of the Spirit and accept it as a gift from Me.

One of the co-founders of the Findhorn Community, Eileen Caddy, received guidance from the "still, small voice within" and shared it with others in the community for more than 40 years until she passed away in 2006. Today we continue this tradition by printing her guidance - as relevant today as it was when she received it - in the community's weekly newsletter and by sharing it with the wider world by email.
