Guidance from Eileen Caddy

Only When Rhythm Is Broken Can You Once Again Find It

There is need for balance in this life, the need to step out of a routine and do something completely different. When you go on doing the same thing day in day out, year in year out, you can so easily become stale and even drained. Therefore step out fearlessly from time to time and do something totally different and then return to the work on hand refreshed and revitalised, ready for anything. Rhythm is very necessary but there are times when rhythm is taken so much for granted it becomes meaningless and it is only when that rhythm is broken you can once again find it, see it in a completely different light and see the true meaning and reason for rhythm. Stop in what you are doing and give thanks for everything and realise how mightily blessed you are.

One of the co-founders of the Findhorn Community, Eileen Caddy, received guidance from the "still, small voice within" and shared it with others in the community for more than 40 years until she passed away in 2006. Today we continue this tradition by printing her guidance - as relevant today as it was when she received it - in the community's weekly newsletter and by sharing it with the wider world by email.
