Guidance from Eileen Caddy

Learn to Put First Things First

Get your values right. Learn to put first things first. Take time to be still, and in the silence it will be made quite clear to you what your true values are. They are the things of the Spirit, not the things of this world, for only as you learn to put the things of the Spirit first in your lives and living, do all the other things which you need in life fall into their rightful place. All your needs are met when you learn to put first things first. Go into the silence seeking nothing but the need to be close to Me. The more time you spend in the silence, the more you realise how vitally important these times are, and how you cannot do without them. No-one can get into direct contact with Me without becoming very still, for it is in that stillness you can hear My still small voice and know Me.

One of the co-founders of the Findhorn Community, Eileen Caddy, received guidance from the "still, small voice within" and shared it with others in the community for more than 40 years until she passed away in 2006. Today we continue this tradition by printing her guidance - as relevant today as it was when she received it - in the community's weekly newsletter and by sharing it with the wider world by email.
