Guidance from Eileen Caddy

Perfect Balance is Essential

There must always be the perfect balance between the inner work and the outer. Never neglect either but see how they dovetail in perfectly one with the other. You have to have the perfect balance of sleeping and waking, of times of great activity and inactivity. Otherwise you would become unbalanced and this can happen so easily if you are not ever watchful. In group living this perfect balance is essential. It does not matter how much outer work there is to do, there must always be time for the inner work, time to be still and become readjusted and in tune again with your higher selves. Only in this way can things go smoothly and what has to be done will work out perfectly. Always remember without the inner work the outer work would mean nothing. So take time to be still no matter how busy you are, take time to be alone and seek Me and know Me.

One of the co-founders of the Findhorn Community, Eileen Caddy, received guidance from the "still, small voice within" and shared it with others in the community for more than 40 years until she passed away in 2006. Today we continue this tradition by printing her guidance - as relevant today as it was when she received it - in the community's weekly newsletter and by sharing it with the wider world by email.
