Guidance from Eileen Caddy

Freedom of the Spirit

It is the small things in life which can tip the scales the right way or the wrong, so watch and pray and do not ignore or brush aside those personal disciplines as unimportant and of no consequence. I tell you they are important, so be on the look out for them and nip them in the bud. Each one of you will know deep within what I am talking about, and you will also know what you can do about it. Therefore do something about it NOW and do not wait until some other time to take action, there is no better time than the present. You may hide the truth from your fellowmen but you can hide nothing from Me. If you truly love Me you will want to obey my slightest whisper, for only in this way can you find rest and lasting happiness and freedom. Freedom comes when you have nothing to hide and everything is out in the open. Seek always the freedom of the Spirit.

One of the co-founders of the Findhorn Community, Eileen Caddy, received guidance from the "still, small voice within" and shared it with others in the community for more than 40 years until she passed away in 2006. Today we continue this tradition by printing her guidance - as relevant today as it was when she received it - in the community's weekly newsletter and by sharing it with the wider world by email.
