2012 – Memories & Miracles, celebrating 50 years of Findhorn

Dorothy at 49th Birthday dinnerOn 17th November 2011 the Findhorn Foundation celebrated its 49th birthday and entered its 50th year. Dorothy Maclean, one of our original founders, was on hand to blow out the candles on the huge birthday cake, and earlier in the week the community gathered in the Universal Hall to hear stories from those who were here in the very earliest days of the community.

Jonathan Caddy set the scene with a slideshow of photos from those early days. Although he lamented that there were not more photos taken, “You would think,” he joked, “that God would have told my mother to buy a camera to document those early days!” Dorothy transported us back in time as she reminisced about life in a tiny caravan with two other adults and three small boys.

To bring those early days to life for everyone to enjoy and to celebrate our 50th year we have created Memories & Miracles, a commemorative USB memory stick, that captures the essence of Findhorn’s first 50 years.Containing photo slideshows, videos and some of Eileen’s guidance, this memory stick also has a history of key moments and a copy of our 2012 brochure of workshops, events and birthday celebrations. A great Christmas gift for yourself or your friends and family, and the price of £14 includes postage and shipping so you can send them to your loved ones anywhere in the world!

USB stickAll the proceeds from the sales of Memories & Miracles will support the ongoing work of the Findhorn Foundation enabling us to develop new workshop space, expand our outreach programmes, and continue to increase our sustainability into the next 50 years and beyond.

To buy the 4GB USB Memories & Miracles, please visit our website. We hope that you enjoy browsing through this 50th birthday collection of memories as much as we have enjoyed creating it. If you like, you can store most of the contents of Memories & Miracles on your computer to free up space on your USB stick and then use it however you choose.

And please come and visit us in 2012 – we welcome your spirit and enthusiasm and look forward to celebrating with you.

Thank you for being part of this worldwide Findhorn family of friends and supporters.

With very best wishes for the coming year,

Eva Ward
