Although we are scattered all over this wonderful globe, I hope you know that the updates I write come from the Foundation’s deep wish to build relationship with you and to co-create a consciousness of the spirit which transcends our geographic separation. I was so inspired by similar thoughts in a recent David Spangler newsletter and wanted to articulate to you the strong sense of heart connection I feel when I tap into the synergy of the planetary Findhorn family.
Here we are in September already and the summer buzz continues into autumn with 13 feisty American students at The Park for the Findhorn Community Semester: The Human Challenge of Sustainability and 12 budding English speakers at Cluny for Learning English in Community. We’re also excited that four 18-30 year olds are joining us in October as part of the European Voluntary Service. This influx of vibrant youth ensures our future sustainability (and adds vim to our volleyball matches!).
The Foundation’s collaboration with the Lorian Association is bearing fruit with a successful launch of Living Whole earlier this year (one week at Findhorn and three months online with Lorian). Freya Secrest has been visiting for the past two weeks to ground three more residential and online modules in 2011 which will focus on orienting to the sacred, co-creating with the subtle realms and the worldwork of subtle activism which flows from this.
Energy is building for our conference Bioneers at Findhorn, Revolution from the Heart of Nature, 30 October – 2 November. It promises to be an inspiring and innovative event and I encourage anyone who is keen to focus on constructive ways to support sustainable lifestyles to attend. The programme has become even more enticing with the inclusion of Naresh Giangrande, co-founder of Transition Town Totnes and Nicholas Lunch, director of Insightshare with their participatory video programme: Conversations with the Earth – Indigenous Voices on Climate Change. In November we welcome, with high recommendation from many Findhorn folk, Jeff Foster and The Wonder of Being: Awakening to an Intimacy Beyond Words, 20 November, 2010. In this three-day programme Jeff shares the timeless message of nonduality in a simple, down-to-earth way, creating a friendly atmosphere with the opportunity to question or simply sit in silence.
And suddenly I realise the new year is not so far away! We have some nurturing and revitalising programmes through which to reflect on the past year and look to the new:
- Spiritual Practice – a Solstice Meditation Wednesday 15-21 December – requires prior participation in Experience Week
and three programmes from Wednesday 29 December – 5 January:
- a seven-day Game of Transformation – play the original version to transform life issues
- A New Year Gathering in English and Spanish – songs, dances, meditation and ritual with Barbara Swetina and Javier Rodriguez
- New Year Spiritual Healing Retreat – with Franco Santoro exploring the inner and outer worlds
And last, but definitely not least, a New Year Retreat on the Isle of Erraid, 29 December.
I also want to bring your attention to two powerful programmes happening here in 2011. The first is the launch of the Findhorn Intensive in March. This programme is six residential weeks over 18 months with distance mentoring and peer support – a superb way to deepen your connection with your inner wisdom, fully cultivate your personal presence and creativity and so contribute to the world with your full potential. If you have always wanted to deepen your connection with Findhorn but could not manage a long stay, this is for you.
The second is our Easter Conference, Conscious Medicine – Creating Health in a Conscious Universe, Saturday 23 April, for four nights. This is your chance to explore with inspiring experts how thoughts, emotions, beliefs and unresolved traumas are downloaded into the physical body, how we can heal dis-ease by shifting our energy and consciousness to align with the universal energy field and how we can help others to heal themselves.
A big thank you to all the Aussies who emailed their interest in Findhorn Days in eastern Australia. They will be happening on 6 November in Sydney and 20 November in Brisbane at The Relaxation Centre. Soon I will email details to those who emailed me and also put them on our outreach page. Any new enquiries please contact me on . I am so looking forward to meeting you all!
Wishing you the highest and best in all your endeavours.
with love and light and laughter,
For the Communications Team
