What can I expect from my Retreat?

Findhorn Summer Retreats are an opportunity to stay on our site at The Park, Findhorn, home of the Findhorn Foundation. There is no schedule imposed and guests are free to use their time here as they wish. Spend time in peaceful contemplation or meditation in the tranquil and picturesque Original Garden close to the caravan where the founders Eileen, Peter and Dorothy lived and to the site where Main Park Sanctuary had been. Walks on the beach and in the woods around The Park offer an opportunity to deepen your connection with nature. Or you can choose to spend your mornings practising ‘Work is Love in action in our gardens at The Park or Cullerne vegetable gardens.

What else is there to take part in?

You may opt in to as many Findhorn Foundation or community initiatives as are available* at the time such as:

  • Community meditations (held online)
  • Taize singing (online)
  • Take-away meals from the local cafes on The Park
  • Spending time practising the art of ‘work is love in action’ in our gardens at The Park or at Cullerne, our vegetable gardens (an additional fee per adult per morning applies)
  • Self-Guided Tour of The Park using guide books available from The Phoenix shop

If you feel you want some company, you can enjoy the community atmosphere while enjoying a coffee or a meal at the Phoenix Cafe, situated at the beautiful Universal Hall. You may also be able to take part in a variety of ecovillage community events, dependent on Covid regulations at time of arrival or simply take your time soaking up the sacredness of the land, enjoying the powerful container of this transformational field and enjoying the ‘magic of Findhorn’.

*All activities are subject to current Covid-19 regulations and may be replaced by online Zoom participation as necessary.Current online activities may be moved to in person activities once regulations allow. Groups allowed to stay in the same self-catering property are restricted in line with Scottish Government regulations on indoor/outdoor gatherings at the time of your booking/arrival. We apologise that currently we can only accept bookings from within mainland Britain in line with local restrictions.
