Welcome to Genesis

Genesis is the perfect example of a Findhorn manifestation miracle. The story of the original founders – Eileen and Peter Caddy, and Dorothy Maclean – living as a family of six in the small blue original caravan is now legendary.

But by 1969 they longed for a more spacious home. A circular from the community was sent to all of the people who had visited Findhorn in order to raise money to buy a new home for the Caddys.

Miraculously the £2000 needed to buy the new home – two caravans attached together – was generously given and the Caddys moved into their new upgraded accommodation in the New Year of 1969.

For their sons it was a luxurious upgrade, with Christopher able to have his own room and his brothers able to have their own beds, rather than sharing a bed. Peter Caddy later added a generous extension where guests were welcomed and Findhorn meetings were held. The founders continued to live there for many years until Peter Caddy left the community.

This cosy cabin has a bright lilac facade with a white cottage-style doorway and carpeted lounge and bedrooms.

The lounge area has a comfy sofa and armchairs ideal for relaxation as well as a dining area.

The cheery kitchen has a bright red floor with polished pine work surfaces, fixtures and fittings and a breakfast bar dining area.

A private patio area is perfect for contemplation or simply sitting and enjoying the sound of birdsong as you connect to the nature realms.
