A warm and heartful welcome
This is Cluny, the grand former hotel that welcomes many of the participants attending transformative workshops and retreats at the Findhorn Foundation.
Cluny, which was originally a thriving health spa for Victorian guests wanting an escape to the countryside, is set in large, beautiful gardens with plenty of quiet corners for contemplation. It rests on a forested hill above the ancient and Royal Burgh of Forres, Scotland.
Surrounded by nature
Cluny has a large and relaxing lounge, a gracious dining room with views over the valley, a cosy library, games, puzzles and musical instruments, plus a variety of accommodation to suit all guests, including standard and boutique rooms.
Cluny is about five miles from the Foundation’s other local site, The Park, next door to the quaint fishing village of Findhorn. Most retreats include a tour of The Park, and there are regular free Foundation buses between the two sites.

Ways to visit Cluny

Findhorn Experience Week
Findhorn Experience Week, which is offered at Cluny, is the Foundation’s longest-running programme. It’s been loved by thousands of participants over many decades, who remember it as a significant turning point in their lives.
Experience Week offers five transformative days where you experience for yourself the power of human connection, while being introduced to the Foundation community and its spiritual practices. There are many dates to choose from during the year.

Cluny Retreat Weeks
Retreat weeks at Cluny are designed for you to immerse yourself into the Findhorn Foundation community, or to integrate learnings and insights after Experience Week or a similar retreat.
It’s a loosely held week that offers time for reflection and spiritual exploration. You’ll deepen into the community’s spiritual practices – inner listening, co-creation with the intelligence of nature, and work as love in action – while feeling into what it means to be connected with spirit and your own intuition, and to practise this in everyday life.

Much more to choose from
Cluny also hosts a variety of other workshops, retreats and trainings through the year–including exciting topics like Animal Communication and Nature Connection and regular Games of Transformation.
It welcomes guests attending major events in The Park, such as conferences or the Festival of Sacred Dance, and is also available for hire as a venue for workshops or special events.
