Animal Speak

Africa’s San Bushmen and other indigenous peoples have always insisted that they could communicate with the natural world around them – and so can we all, according to animal whisperer Anna Breytenbach who will lead an interspecies communication workshop at Findhorn during June 2011. (read more…)

A Newbold Rennaissance

Heather Walley provides an update on the new co-operative community at Newbold House. Newbold House has always been a centre for transformation and education, ever since the Findhorn Foundation began to use the house in 1979 as an additional workshop space for their educational programmes. After its purchase in 1983 by a separate charitable trust set up by Foundation members, the house has continued to provide space for guests and workshops under the guardianship of a group of Trustees, plus the management and operations skills of a resident team of core members. Bioneers Gathering at Findhorn – Day 4

Today is an all seasons day. A crisp wind brings bellows of dark clouds and full fat rain only to blow them away again to allow pale-washed sunlight to dance with the fading autumn colours. “Praise creation! Praise life! Bioneers Gathering at Findhorn – Day 3

Frost on the ground glimmers this morning and whispers of magic realms. Still is the air as I open to the fresh promise of the day. Lady Diana Whitmore begins her talk with gratitude for the hope that the conference is instilling in her. Seeking investment in the Teens and Toddlers programme she supports, she is feeling the knife edge at the threat of government cuts. She then continues to unfold the story of this programme and the valuable work it is doing for our young people. (read more…)

Bioneers Gathering at Findhorn – Day 2

Yet again the majesty of nature unfurls a cloak of beautiful dawn colour. The birches are changing into their autumn hues burnishing the landscape with green, coppers and golds. The air is cold and still, only a faint breeze stirs the branches. We begin our day with a song, our voices harmonising and lifting to hold the land in sacredness. (read more…)

Bioneers Gathering at Findhorn – Day 1

The Findhorn landscape flashes its golden finery, autumnal leaves pile burnished beneath wind whipped blue skies. These colours of warmth and fire glow in the central candle arrangement and majestic flowers harvested to decorate the Universal Hall. People from all over the planet are welcomed to this first European Bioneers conference. The opening ceremony calls us to connect with the elements, each other and the motivation of the Bioneers movement. We are invited to build the field through mingling, sharing, song and spiral – meeting and greeting one another, settling after the journey to get here, opening to the life stories of one another. The space is playful, faces bright with inspiration. (read more…)

Living A Life Less Ordinary

William Methven savours the memory of his life-changing Foundation Programme journey. The Foundation Programme was a remarkable opportunity to take three months out of my everyday life to explore my relationship with myself, others and the divine while being held by a community’s loving energy, and through this experience to empower me to give greater service in the world. The Foundation Programme is a profound experience on a number of levels unique to every individual. (read more…)
