Edward Posey Awarded OBE

We are delighted to announce that Edward Posey, co-founder and Trustee of The Gaia Foundation, and Trustee of the Findhorn Foundation, has been awarded the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in this New Year’s Honours list.

Edward’s positive spirit and commitment have been essential to the success of many projects for environmental protection, socially and ecologically responsible business, and sustainable livelihoods. The impact of his service has been throughout the UK and in many countries in the southern hemisphere.

He co-founded the Business Network, reaching out to many business and influential people to encourage philanthropy for social change.

His generosity of spirit and belief in helping others has made him a catalyst for change with far-reaching results. His own home for the past 20 years has hosted the Gaia Foundation, which he co-founded with Liz Hosken in 1984, and has been the birthplace of many initiatives and campaigns such as the Forest People’s Fund and GM Freeze campaign.

Congratulations to Edward, we are proud of him as our Trustee, and thankful for the skill and commitment he brings to helping the Findhorn Foundation achieve its goals in the world.
