It is with growing dismay that we have recently witnessed the news from the Gulf Coast of the southern United States following the devastation in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. We now know the area of damage is as big as the whole of the UK – that fact alone gives us some scale of the work needed to get things back to normal.
Here at the Findhorn Foundation and community we spend our time trying to build community and we have no real experience of what happens when whole communities are pulled apart in this way. Our thoughts, healing blessings, meditations and prayers go out to all those people affected by the disaster and we encourage friends, former guests and staff and anyone reading this to do the same and, of course, offer material help too. Blessing also to all those people engaged in the repair and restoration work.
