The death of Pope John Paul ll, one of the longest-reigning leaders of the Roman Catholic Church, has been quietly and respectfully received within the Findhorn Foundation and Community.
The general view is that, while not agreeing with many of his decisions, he was a man of strength and robust conviction who was probably the most influential and controversial spiritual leader of our time. His ability to stay resolute and yet be loved to the degree he was testified to the iron and feather in his soul.
There are a number of Catholics within the community and those I talked to offered their sympathy to the billion souls whose loss is great. May his soul indeed Rest In Peace.
