One Incredible Family

Our 40th Birthday celebration week ended in a fitting and emotional finale as the Mike Scott led band played Hans Poulsen’s Findhorn classic, One Incredible Family, to a crowded, swaying, singing with gusto Universal Hall audience that had experienced the meaning of that song title.

One couple so enjoyed the week they have made a local B&B reservation for our 50th Birthday in 2012! There has been much to savour, not least the coming together of people representing the various decades of the Community’s history. Around 300-400 guests and community residents weaved their myriad community experiences around the tapestry of a week that included revels, a day-long Game of Transformation, a masked fancy dress ‘nature spirit’ ball, the unveiling of a portrait to honour Robert Ogilvie Crombie and dialogues and presentations in the Hall where the magic of Findhorn was lovingly pored over. Long-time community stalwart Roger Doudna described the week as a ‘true blast from the past, in the present, for the future’.

Plans were unveiled earlier in the week for the springtime launch of a new, inclusive network that will bring together the whole Findhorn global family. The aim is to make it easier to connect with all our friends and partners across the world, enabling all the present Findhorn networks to more fully connect with each other. The ultimate aim is to strengthen the transformation of consciousness around the world through using our website to facilitate networking, partnering and information sharing. One incredible family. One Incredible Family
Out on the road lighten your load
we really begin to see
just how we can help our world to understand
what’s happening interplanetarily
(yes sirree!)
’cause we’re gonna build another
Garden of Eden
where we can really grow
children of love, children of light
so everyone can know…
we belong to
One incredible family
unbelievable love
One incredible family
coming down from above
Life, she is incredible when we finally recognise
the love between our brothers and our sisters
working side by side
