Spiritual Mentoring service

Available to everyone, wherever you live

For 40 years the Findhorn Foundation has been providing advice and direction to people exploring their spiritual path and values. We are delighted to offer you the opportunity to further your own exploration at home.

What is spiritual mentoring?

It is regular confidential phone contact with an experienced guide who can:

• assist in planning a programme of spiritual practice
• help you set goals and keep to your commitments
• encourage and support you in your spiritual practice
• discuss your problems from a holistic perspective
• suggest new techniques to enhance your practice

This service does not work with an 'already designed' programme. Mentors work with each person individually to design a support system of personal reflection and broadening awareness depending on the individual’s interests. For instance, if you follow A Course In Miracles, we will work with you to use the principles of this path more consciously. Or if you are not sure which is the path for you, we will help you investigate various systems, recommending ones we have used and know are helpful. Sessions follow a dialogue/coaching style and work towards helping people use the events of their everyday life to connect more deeply with spirit.

Spiritual Mentoring could be for you if:

• you want to deepen your sense of spiritual growth and direction
• you would like support in developing and maintaining your spiritual practice
• you would like to maintain a regular spiritual practice
• you would find it useful to have access to a variety of perspectives on spiritual matters

How much does it cost?

£12.50 per half-hour or
£25 per hour
(phone charges are paid for by the client)

Who are the mentors?

Our mentors are experienced long term members of staff. We take a broad non-judgemental approach, and do not represent any one religion, doctrine or spiritual direction. The main consultant for the programme is Judi Buttner.

Judi has been consciously following a spiritual path for 24 years and has been a resident at the Foundation for 22 years. Her journey began with Transcendental Meditation. She has also been a student of Advaita Vedanta, Buddhism, quantum theory, and Nisarga yoga. Strong influences have been Ramana Maharishi, Ram Dass, Eileen Caddy and Caroline Myss. Her work has included leading workshops on personal and spiritual development, particularly in the area of accessing intuition; guiding and training in the Transformation Game; compiling and editing Eileen Caddy’s book Waves of Spirit; director of our Education Department.
