NFD Ltd is the trading subsidiary of the Findhorn Foundation. Since its inception in 1983 it has operated many offshoot businesses that have sprung from Findhorn Foundation activities.
The divisions of NFD are currently:
Findhorn Bay Caravan & Holiday Park
Offering caravans, ecochalets and camping at The Park.
Property Management
Administers and manages the commercial assets of the Findhorn Foundation.
Park Renewables
Administers and manages electrical infrastructure at The Park. Electricity is provided by four wind turbines operated by Findhorn Wind Park Ltd, with a total capacity of 750kW.
HoCo
Administers and manages roads, landscaping, sewerage pumping stations, mapping and other services at The Park.
Park Fossil Fuels
Set up to create bulk buying opportunities of LPG and heating oil for The Park.
Living Machine
Our own waste water treatment plant that was the first of its kind in Europe. Partially funded by the European Regional Development Fund, the Living Machine now processes the majority of our site sewage and waste water.
