Retreat weeks at Traigh Bhan on Iona
Situated on the west coast of Scotland, Iona is a sacred island known as an historic place of pilgrimage. Traigh Bhan is the Findhorn Foundation's retreat house on this magical island offering the opportunity for quiet contemplation. With its views and spectacular coastal scenery, Iona is ideal for long walks of exploration and contact with nature's beauty.
Traigh Bahn is an ideal place to BE. To take space for yourself in an unstructured setting, to meditate, to reflect, to walk, and to breathe. It is a unique gift to step away from all the busyness, and take time to rest and renew body and soul.
Throughout the year there are a variety of retreat weeks based on a theme. For these weeks you will have a programme of meditation and acitvity related to the theme and a focaliser for the week.
During the summer season, 5 July - 6 September, we offer Iona Summer Retreat Weeks which can be a beautiful way to experience the gifts of Iona. If you need time to integrate the lessons of a workshop or space to reflect on your own journey and next steps, Traigh Bhan is the perfect place for spiritual rest and renewal. A custodian will help you to make the most of your stay at the house .
Comfortable and well-equipped, the house has its own peaceful sanctuary for prayer and meditation.
All retreats cost in the range of £395 - £225, according to individual circumstances. This includes 7 nights accommodation (maximum 6 guests each week) in shared rooms and vegetarian food for shared meals. Arrival time is midday Saturday, and departure time is the next Saturday morning. We ask you to attune to the final amount you pay, with our residential custodian, while you are at Traigh Bhan on Iona. Please pay only your deposit when you make your booking.
We suggest that you, or someone you are sharing the house with, have already completed a Findhorn Foundation Experience Week, or another Findhorn Foundation programme.
