Presented as part of Bodysurf Scotland's dance platforms this show brings three inspiring and compelling dance solos from three riveting international artists: Benno Voorham, Rosalind Masson plus a special guest. The Masson piece, The Oceans are Drowning, was inspired by current environmental issues surrounding the melting of the polar ice-caps due to global warming. Now in this moment, the smallest gesture can have the biggest consequence. Never has information flown so quickly and yet it is possible that we have never been less aware.
‘There's a visual poetry in "Our Oceans Are Drowning," a thoughtful quality in Masson's movement that lends subtlety and eloquence to her eco-sensitive message.‘ The Herald

Blending together a gorgeous mix of dance, fiddle music, guitar, pipes, keyboard, and Gaelic song these engaging performers bring you an evening of wonderful rhythms and finely crafted traditional dance. The line-up includes dancers Caroline Reagh and Sandra Robertson; piper and stepdancer Fin Moore; Dannsa-co-founder Frank McConnell, Mac Morin (dancer and pianist), guitarist Matheu Watson plus the beautiful voice of MOD Gold Medallist Catriona Watt. Dannsa's contagious enjoyment of Scotland's traditions will leave you wanting more. For workshop detail – see here on the website closer to the time.
JAMP tells stories of extraordinary meetings on an ordinary street. A simple bench and a bus stop become a meeting point, a playpark, a hiding place or a battleground. JAMP is new circus-theatre for Scotland — mischievous, playful, tough and fearless. Scottish performing arts company Bright Night International (BNI) and Glasgow Parkour Coaching (GPC) created a dynamic new performance style suitable for all the family, drawing on parkour, acrobatics, dance, stunts, gymnastics, breakdance and physical theatre.
A welcome return to Findhorn of these two extraordinary world class performers with a piece entitled My Skin is Still Singing. In 2010 their quartet Force of Nature, uplifted and wowed audiences, leaving people gliding out of the theatre in speechless awe. Michael Schumacher is a supremely versatile dance artist with an impressive track record that includes dancing with the Frankfurt Ballet, Twyla Tharp Dance and Feld Ballet, Dana Caspersen, Anouk van Dijk, and Sylvie Guillem.
