Hans Theessink’s blues-based music has continually developed since 1970 and has attained a status which is unique for a European. His latest CD, Visions, with the American bluesman Terry Evans, was nominated for the 30th Blues Music Awards as Acoustic Album of the Year, The mainly solo, Songs from the Southlands (his 16th CD) was released in 2003. “… one of the best albums of traditional, acoustic blues that I've heard from anyone in years.” Sing Out (on Songs from the Southlands).
