A showcase for the cream of the new generation of Scottish musicians - the 5 finalists and winner of the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year Award 2009. A band comprised of highly talented solo performers, including the winner Ruairidh MacMillan from Nairn, the sound they create together is energetic, dynamic and full of promise for the tradition they carry. The award takes place each year at the Celtic Connections festival and has now become an established and respected showcase for young performers and a platform on which to develop their future musical careers.
