The Oneness of Life

Hi everyone,

The summer solstice has just passed in the northern hemisphere and it is light till after 11pm at Findhorn. On Saturday night the community gathered for some summer revelry and I held all of you here in my heart - our global sisterhood and brotherhood of world servers.

What a rich few months it has been - the Foundation has been exploring its role in the world, its resilience and responsiveness, what changes want to happen as we, as a community and as an education centre, and the whole world, seem poised on the brink of a most wonderful leap. This has been beautifully supported by the visits of Gangaji, encouraging us to 'stop' and Thomas Hubl, speaking of the possibility of a higher 'we' and reminding us that simply through the quality of our presence we can each contribute to the world situation.

Everywhere I look I see humanity awakening from the dream of separation - may it continue to be contagious! Al Gore, in his latest video speaks of the need for ìa higher level of consciousnessî to address the global situation, and it is that consciousness, attuned to the oneness of life, which we seek to practise here at Findhorn and to foster in the world through our education programmes.

November 2008 to April 2009 brochure now online

I am excited to tell you that our new list of workshops and events for November 2008 to April 2009 is now online. I feel especially drawn to the Grass Roots - New Shoots spring festival, Easter 2009. It is the Findhorn Foundation's role as an inspired seed centre which attracts me to stay here - to see our participants arrive from all over the world and see them leave, lit from within and taking light and love with them. So, if you are feeling the need to unfurl, explore your creativity, reinvent yourself, find time to be still, reconnect with the natural world, or to just work and play with kindred spirits, you need look no further than right here!

Whether it is learning nonviolent communication, a new year retreat on Erraid, a work week in Cluny, three days exploring intuitive leadership or coming to join an Experience Week, we welcome your participation in this experiment with new ways of living which began in 1962.

The Findhorn Garden Story

I often talk to groups about how this community began so I was very happy, and inspired all over again, when Findhorn Press sent me an updated, full colour version of The Findhorn Garden, first published in 1975. Renamed The Findhorn Garden Story, and with an additional chapter by Alan Watson Featherstone, Trees For Life founder, this book captures the power and wonder of those pioneering days. I for one have earmarked it as a great gift idea and am looking forward to the book launch and celebration in the Universal Hall this Friday. Visit the Findhorn Press website where the 208 page paperback is, at present, for sale with a 20% discount.

Stop press: Findhorn Press is offering an extra 15% discount especially for recipients of this email if you order before 20 July. Simply enter FGarDen8 in the 'Discount Coupon (optional)' field during Step Two of the ordering process.

Expect a Miracle

One piece of Eileen Caddy's guidance from the early days which has become a favourite phrase in the community is "Expect a miracle ... for miracles are simply My laws in action." If this resonates with you and you are open to letting go of the way you currently see the world, join us for Miracles at Findhorn 12-18 July to explore Eileen Caddy's teachings and A Course in Miracles.

And a quick reminder that it will soon be July and that is dance festival time. I never miss it!! This year the Festival of Sacred Dance, Music & Song, 19-26 July, features special guest teacher Friedel Kloke Eibl and, as always, provides opportunities for budding singers and musicians to join in the fun and nourishment of dancing our spirits home.

And finally, we are very happy to welcome back Neale Donald Walsch presenting The Real God - The Real You, Saturday 20th September, for 3 days. Neale continues to impress me with his exuberance and conviction, and a spiritual message which has changed the lives of millions. There are also some great four day follow-on options after Neale, so consider taking the time to really enjoy the extraordinary richness here at Findhorn.

May we all continue to be part of the enormous wave of interconnection I feel building on our planet, and whether the days in your part of the world are now shortening or lengthening, may the light at the core of your being illuminate the world.

With love and laughter,
Yvonne Cuneo
