The Findhorn Foundation and Findhorn College are delighted to be hosting the dynamic Bioneers movement from North America in their first major European conference. The Bioneers movement unites all those committed to finding practical solutions that can be employed now, empowering us to live on the Earth in ways that honour the web of life.
We invite you to join us and be refreshed by the 'good news' stories of cutting edge developments in social and environmental sustainability. Meet pioneering world leaders in their fields and explore with them innovative and holistic approaches that support the wellbeing of all life.
Together we will:
Bioneers at Findhorn will provide a balance of inspirational presentations with times of deepening, practice, dialogue, integration and unique networking opportunities. It will feature plenary speakers and community building activities in the morning, and a wide variety of more in-depth, practical workshops in the afternoon. In the evenings we will come together for cultural activities of music and dance.
Join us at Europe's first Bioneers conference. Bring your own stories. Share your wisdom and experience. Connect with others, so that we can build a strong Bioneers network in Europe.

An Extra Day – Wednesday 3 November – MOVING PICTURE DAY
We are extending the Bioneers Gathering at Findhorn for an additional day!
As a "Beaming Bioneer", as well as a live conference we will have access to all the speakers' talks from the 2010 Bioneers conference in California on DVDs: www.bioneers.org/presenters
During Bioneers at Findhorn we will only be able to view a very few of these presentations. However, to take full advantage of this rich treasure of Bioneers 2010 presenting their work, we will show their talks and other complementary videos that we anticipate participants may have to offer as well. Stay on if you are able. We ask that you contribute:
£40 – the films, accommodation and all meals
£10 – attending the films only
In the morning, 10am – 12.15pm, we will feature Nicholas Lunch's Conversations With the Earth - Indigenous Voices on Climate Change Participatory Video Workshop.
Conversations With the Earth is a global indigenous-led multimedia initiative that is amplifying indigenous voices in the global discourse on climate change and enhancing local capacity for action. CWE conveys local accounts of the impacts of climate change on indigenous communities, stories of the unintended consequences of imposed mitigation efforts on local livelihoods, and examples of traditional knowledge and its value in developing appropriate responses to climate change. CWE is a way of listening closely to traditional stewards of the Earth in order to formulate a viable global response to the challenges of climate change. See www.conversationsearth.org

What is the Bioneers movement?
Founder Kenny Ausubel coined the term bioneers in 1990 to describe an emerging
culture of social and scientific innovators who are mimicking nature's operating
instructions to serve human ends while healing nature.
For more than twenty years Bioneers have promoted practical environmental solutions and innovative social strategies for restoring Earth's imperiled ecosystems and healing our human communities.
Bioneers is:
collaboration between them
The Bioneers movement brings together a diversity of people working in sustainability, biomimcry, natural design, social justice, earth jurisprudence, transition towns, resilience building, bioregional development, organic farming, complementary medicine, eco-entrepreneurship, green transport solutions, renewable energy, youth work, permaculture, environmental restoration, and many other fields.
They are innovators and activists who have found and carried out solutions that will contribute to the transition towards a more sustainable, resilient, equitable and compassionate society - a society which lives within the limits of Nature through innovations based on Nature's operating instructions.

Speakers
The speakers of the first Bioneers conference hosted at Findhorn have been selected for their ability to create practical working solutions, to inspire others to innovate and create, and to address core issues from a place of heart and intelligence.
