What is the Bioneers movement?
Founder Kenny Ausubel coined the term bioneers in 1990 to describe an emerging
culture of social and scientific innovators who are mimicking nature's operating
instructions to serve human ends while healing nature.
For more than twenty years Bioneers have promoted practical environmental solutions and innovative social strategies for restoring Earth's imperiled ecosystems and healing our human communities.
Bioneers is:
A Leading Source of Innovative Solutions to inform and inspire positive solutions at the local level
An Annual Conference to bring together like-minded people and strengthen
collaboration between them
A Systemic Framework aiming to create win-win-win solutions through a holistic, systemic and multidisciplinary approach
A Network of Networks fostering new networks and communities, stimulating connection, cross-pollination and collaboration
A Catalyst for Restoration in line with the 'Century of Earth Restoration' declared at a Findhorn conference in 2002
An Oasis of Hope inviting you all to celebrate the dazzling genius of people and nature ready to heal Nature by healing humanity
The Bioneers movement brings together a diversity of people working in sustainability, biomimcry, natural design, social justice, earth jurisprudence, transition towns, resilience building, bioregional development, organic farming, complementary medicine, eco-entrepreneurship, green transport solutions, renewable energy, youth work, permaculture, environmental restoration, and many other fields.
They are innovators and activists who have found and carried out solutions that will contribute to the transition towards a more sustainable, resilient, equitable and compassionate society - a society which lives within the limits of Nature through innovations based on Nature's operating instructions. www.bioneers.org
