Herbal Allies: Food and Medicine from our own backyards

Lisa Parker & Annette Kortsen

Saturday 17th July, 2010 (7 days)

This workshop is about healing ourselves and the planet through our relationship with nature, with practical information and techniques for working with plants.

We will explore practices from the Findhorn gardens, Perelandra and the Anastasia books, and learn to make food, medicines and skin care products from familiar and common plants.

Plant walks, garden work, food preparation and the hands-on making of tinctures, salves, syrups, lotions, bath salts and infusions are some of the activities we will explore together, mixed in with sessions with guest speakers, discussions, books, handouts, videos and meditations.

You take home your creations plus new skills and information about how to provide healthy care for yourself, your family and your community.

Income related price (click here for more information): £595 / £775 / £895
Includes 7 nights accommodation and all meals.

Lisa Parker, former focaliser of Cluny garden, has studied plant medicine and making herbal products since the 1980s. She currently lives on Kauai making Greensong Botanicals. For more information please see her website.

Annette Kortsen is a teacher, mother and historian. She has a very personal relationship with plants and gardens and likes using plants the way her grandmothers did.
