Exploring Community Life (ECL) is a great way to have time in the community to deepen your experience, or to give you space for integration following another programme. You may also find this to be an attractive option for coming back to visit and reconnecting with the community.

If you are thinking about a longer term commitment to staying at Findhorn, ECL can give you a good sense of what it is like to live at Findhorn and it is a prerequisite for joining some of our longer term programmes such as Living in Community and the Foundation Programme.

The programme offers a supportive and stimulating way to join in community life while deepening your own inner experience and connection to spirit. It follows a less formal structure than Experience Week and includes time in work departments to become more familiar with our guiding principle of ‘work is love in action’. There are also sharings, a group project, a nature outing and if there is interest, we play the Transformation Game. Evenings provide opportunities to join in with community activities and explore different aspects of living here, including spiritual and personal development, creative arts and sustainable living.

Ecovillage Exploring Community Life is an alternative version of our Exploring Community Life programmes with a special emphasis on the spiritual ecology of the ecovillage.
