“Why can it be so difficult to love? Why is it so difficult to meditate?”

Iona is one of the world’s most sacred islands, well-known as a place of spiritual power, worship and pilgrimage. Traigh Bhan, close to the beach, is a cosy, well-equipped home with a light-filled sanctuary, offering space to reflect and connect with spirit. Being at Traigh Bhan is an opportunity to slow down, take time out, recharge, and experience the natural world in all its abundance and beauty.

Meditations from Buddhist tradition are used to connect more deeply with our heart, with the qualities of love, compassion and peace that are part of all of us.

We will also work with our disturbing emotions, acknowledging and transforming them. When we develop the capacity to do that, we benefit our surroundings.

The week is open to everyone, independent of his or her belief or background.

Let the beauty of Iona remind us of our own inner beauty, as there will be plenty space to explore the island.

Retreats cost £235-£425 per person (according to individual circumstances). This includes 7 nights accommodation (maximum 6 guests each week) in shared rooms and vegetarian food for shared meals. Arrival time is midday Saturday, and departure time is the next Saturday morning.

To secure your place please pay a deposit of £95 to the Findhorn Foundation Bookings office before you arrive. You will be asked to attune to the final amount at Traigh Bhan with our resident caretaker.

For Foundation bus information to Iona and Erraid, please contact our Transport Department at Cluny Hill College.
