| | | Illuminating the Path of the Heart: spiritual practice through song and dance
Dr Tui Wilschinsky and Barbara Swetina
Saturday 7th June, 2008 (7 days)
Here is an opportunity to let your heart sing out, rejuvenate your spirit and give wings to your soul.
Using sacred phrases from many traditions, the Dances of Universal Peace combine chanting, simple movements and live music in devotional practices that open the heart and lift the spirit. The outcome is often a sense of oneness, peace and well-being within individuals and with the world.
Other expressive arts integrated into this week include poetry, drawing, sculpture, movement, sound and humour. There are no performers or audience - all hands form the circle together and no prior experience is necessary.
Cost:
£425 if your income is low
£495 if your income is medium
£585 if your income is high
includes 7 nights accommodation and all meals.
The prices above for medium and high incomes have increased slightly from previously published prices in our printed brochure. We find it necessary to make these changes to help cover the rising costs of providing our programmes. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Dr Tui Wilschinsky has been joyously leading the Dances of Universal Peace for more than 37 years. He is a senior teacher and mentor of the Sufi Movement and has worked with Samuel Lewis, Ram Dass and Rabbi Zalman Schachter, bringing awareness and light to every encounter.
Barbara Swetina is a gifted musician who plays many instruments and has a wide repertoire of songs. She has brought sacred harmony singing into the heart of the community, and teaches songs and dances internationally.
