Support as you shop
The purchasing choices that we make have a huge impact on creating the world we all want to see. By opting to buy Fair Trade or organic, buying only locally produced items, or travelling less, we know we are making a difference by directing our purchasing power towards those whose vision and ethics are aligned with our own.
There are many ways to support the Findhorn Foundation and, while we encourage conscious choices that reduce our consumption individually and collectively, there are still some things that we just have to buy.
We noticed how many books about the Findhorn Foundation were available on Amazon and looked for ways to make links to them from our site so that you could easily find your Findhorn inspiration. Working with Amazon to make this possible, they even offered us a referral fee for items that you buy when you use the links from our site as the Findhorn Foundation is a participant in the Amazon EU Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.co.uk.
So, if you use the link to the right every time you want to purchase anything from Amazon.co.uk, you will be supporting our work in the world in a simple yet profound way.
Make a big gift
Major donors have made a huge difference to the work of the Findhorn Foundation. Some recent major gifts include:
In 2011, £105,000 was donated specifically to enable the community to purchase the ‘hinterland’, a large area of woodland and dunes situated between Pineridge North and the sea; from the Runway to the windmills. It includes the Green Burial Site and the Fallen Acre. The latter plays host to the Foundation and community’s outdoor programmes that include land-based teaching.
The community had envisioned protecting this area so that it would never be given over to buildings. This gift guarantees the future of this area, ensuring the continuation of a wildlife refuge for native birds, insects and small mammals including the increasingly endangered red squirrel.
A huge expansion of my capacity to give is one of the many blessings that my connection with Findhorn has brought me.
In 2010 an anonymous donor with a great love for Cluny Hill asked what projects we would like to raise funds for. To our amazement we received news that all of the projects we had named would be covered by the donation. This generosity enabled us to complete two much-needed projects: carpet the basement stairs and the Sanctuary. It also allowed us to re-upholster worn and frayed dining room chairs, convert two bathrooms to provide showers, upgrade the sauna to include two showers and a panelled rest area, and still have enough funds to upgrade some of the guest bedrooms. We are deeply grateful to our anonymous Cluny Angel.
Leave a gift in your Will
A gift in your Will to the Findhorn Foundation leaves a lasting impact for the future without making drastic change to your current financial situation. As well as honouring your memory, a legacy reflects your values and your commitment to creating a new way of living harmoniously that can be modelled for generations to come.
A gift in your Will can make a difference by contributing to the emergence of a new human consciousness that is inclusive, compassionate and sustainable, supporting and inspiring the best of human potential.
A Findhorn Legacy provides long-term, ongoing financial support to our work and vision, both now and beyond our lifetimes. When it comes time to writing or updating your Will, please consider the kind of human society you would like your family and future generations to experience.
Every gift, large or small, makes a real difference. Even a modest gift in your Will can help future generations.
- In 2010 we received a generous legacy from the estate of Tom Welch, a former member of this community. His gift of £452,000 enabled many projects to be completed, including developing staff accommodation in Pineridge West. These two new ecomobiles combine practicality with the very best ecological design and specification, enabling us to house staff in healthy low carbon footprint houses and release more of our draughty old caravans.
Tom’s gift was also used to continue to develop our educational initiative, Building Bridges, which notched up some great successes in 2011 and continues to expand this year.

Donate in memoriam
Celebrate the life of a loved one by making a donation to the Findhorn Foundation in their memory. You will be honouring their memory, while helping the emergence of a new holistic society on earth.
If you are organising a funeral or wake you could request that donations be made to the Findhorn Foundation instead of flowers. Please ask for some of our ‘in lieu of flowers’ envelopes to be sent to you before the event, or we can send them directly to the funeral director. Please contact us at or call us on +44 (0)1309 690808.
If you would prefer donations to floral tributes at your own funeral, it is a good idea to state this preference in your Will so that your executor can ensure your wishes are met.
If your organisation or business would like to make a donation to the Findhorn Foundation please contact us at or call us on +44 (0)1309 690808.
