Global Network Launch Meditation and Blessings

This meditation was beautifully led by Mari Hollander, Findhorn Foundation Chair of Management and long-term resident. It took place in the main sanctuary 21 June, 2004 to bless and celebrate the expansion of our network of light and the addition of the online component. Both Eileen Caddy and Dorothy Maclean, co-founders of the Foundation, were in attendance. The ancient European chordal instrument, the sandawa, was exquisitely played by resident Foundation Trustee, May East.

Welcome everybody!

The launching of the online Global Network today is the point of this moment. But generally affirming our global family and the links that we share world-wide, people we know and people we don't know, in the work that we are all doing, is also something we can pay attention to as we have such a fine powerhouse in the Sanctuary at this time. May attuned us very beautifully with the sandawa. I imagine it was tuned to light? Yes! If light could make a sound, it may be like that.

We see our Global Network, our online community, as an extension of the network of light which has been a strong part of this centre all along. With that in mind, I invite you to settle into your body, here in this circle, in this sanctuary. We see ourselves grounded in the goodness of the earth and in the purpose of this centre and this place. As we centre our attention in the heart, let us notice that we are each an aspect of the one heart. In this time of silence, we hold in our heart and in our mind, the newly formed Global Network, our online community that we are launching. We see it built with the highest of building purpose, in service to inspire, to connect, to provide support. Let us invite that quality of spirit and overlighting intelligence that works with this centre to flow clearly and truly through us into our network of light and all its manifestations.

We offer blessings for the team that's working here to enable this network: Mattie, Marijke, Michael, Carmen. Blessings to all the contributors who are offering articles, too numerous to mention. You'll have to logon! And blessings to all those people whom we have not yet identified, but that will be held and inspired in this growing network. We offer our blessings verbally into the silence of the centre, and then see them travelling out as we sing three OM's. I welcome spoken blessings into the centre:

creativity and vision, excitement, stamina, inspiration, empowerment, adventure, purpose, unity, radiance, healing, peace, integrity, communication, service, sisterhood and brotherhood, friendship, will to good, laughter, love, joy, community, accessibility, harmony, courage, gratitude, beauty, spontaneity, effectiveness, openness, synthesis, truth, transformation, heart-to-heart connection, growth

Now, each in our way, let us visualise our world, our planet, our one earth, and ourselves sitting in the circle, on it. And as we sound forth three OM's, let us see these blessings travelling to the four corners of the world nourishing our network of light.

To complete this time of blessing and celebration, let us sing "When two or more..."

then there I am
forever amongst you.

May this gathering be a seed point of many gatherings in God's name, in Christ's name, in the name of the universal intelligence that informs us, and gives us light and life and being.
