I am excited as I make my way to The Park this morning, knowing that we will start today with an attunement dance led by Susanne Anders Bartholomäi. We join hands and walk slowly to the rhythm of a medieval song, gradually forming several circles around the candle centrepiece. To the music of Mozart, and through graceful gestures with which we connect heaven and earth through the opening of our hearts, we each find our way into a place of blissful peace. Ahhhhhh… (read more…)

Into Christ Consciousness Gathering – Day 2
9 April 2012
I awake at 5:30 this morning, pull on my clothes and join a circle of approximately 60 fellow participants in the carpark at Cluny for the dawn ceremony. The birds, who were awake long before me, are singing their greeting to the world. Among them an owl, a bird which in some traditions symbolises death and transformation. I feel blessed by its presence. (read more…)

Into Christ Consciousness Gathering – Day 1
8 April 2012
Sitting on the bus as we pull away from Cluny for the short journey to The Park, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity I have been given to attend this four-day gathering. The angel of Expectancy is my companion. I read in the conference guide that Easter Saturday is the day of emptiness. Engaging in conversation with the woman next to me, and being aware of the other conversations around me, the idea of emptiness somehow seems contradictory. (read more…)

Patch Adams – Day 2
30 May 2011
Today Patch asks us, “What is your love strategy?” We begin by investigating the nature of giving and receiving. We are invited to enter into a visualisation. We are asked to picture ourselves visiting the many people and places in the world that we know, and those we don’t know, to take a snapshot of us embracing them. We are encouraged to go to the most remote and uninviting places and to embrace the most difficult and abhorrent people, taking a mental photograph of each loving embrace. (read more…)

Patch Adams – Day 1
29 May 2011
When I knew Patch Adams was returning to Findhorn, I watched the movie and was inspired by the powerful force of nature of this man. In the flesh, Patch is awesome. A perpetual clown, he wears crazy clothes and carries the tools of his trade in bottomless pockets, half his long grey hair is dyed blue and his fork earring clatters against the microphone cable, sounding like a buddhist mindfulness bell, especially when he becomes animated. “I love people! I dress this way so that they cannot resist starting a conversation!” (read more…)

Conscious Medicine – Day 4
27 April 2011
Another magical day dawns, on this last day of the Conscious Medicine Conference. The sun is radiant in indigo blue sky held lightly by outstretched branches brimming with blossoms and the quiet buzz of wasps and bees. The glorious sparkling light and warm air is a balm to our spirits, a medicine in itself, and I am aware that the elementals and divas are connecting with us to celebrate our gathering. (read more…)

Conscious Medicine – Day 3
26 April 2011
allow the movement of the breath to ripple through your body… We begin our day wrapped in the poem of our breath, guided by Jonathan Nunn. Arielle Essex presents her talk entitled The Choice that Heals. Diagnosed with a tumour on her pituitary, her 10 year healing journey has left her curious and asking the question: What makes a spontaneous remission happen? She skillfully shares with us eight mental/emotional factors for spontaneous remission: face the crisis, find new meaning, express your emotions, take control of your life, create a healing support team, work in partnership with medics, take 100% responsibility, reduce stress, let go and trust. She weaves throughout her talk clear illustrations of how to engage these eight elements in a healing journey. (read more…)

Conscious Medicine – Day 2
25 April 2011
I awake in the dark grey of dawn to the morning chorus of birds and as I rise the golden light of day breaks through the clouds and colours the world in bright spring green. I dare to wear a summer dress although the forecast threatens rain in the afternoon and take a longer walk past the graves of our ancestors on this resurrection day. (read more…)

Conscious Medicine – Day 1
24 April 2011
The first day of this spring conference welcomes us with a bright array of cherry blossoms hanging languid in the still air. Every now and then a warm breeze scatters their petals in glittering clouds against the thin grey sky. So too is nature reflected in the opening energy of the Conscious Medicine Conference. Over a hundred of us, spanning five continents (Antarctica excluded as penguins cannot get visas) and from 70 countries, nestle into the calming, distilled atmosphere of the Universal Hall. There is a sweet hum of excitement as we gather to greet one another, conversations flaring into moments of gentle laughter. (read more…)

Into Christ Consciousness Gathering – Day 4
11 April 2012
Today is the last day of the gathering and I am riding high on the loving, expansive energy that has been filling our group chalice since dawn on Sunday. I know I’m not the only one affected in this way, as the conversations between my fellow participants are exceptionally lively this morning. Sitting down, I imagine that the sound I hear in the Hall is similar in quality to what one might hear in a beehive! (read more…)
