The Universal Hall
This five-sided building was begun in 1974 and took ten years to complete. George Ripley was its main architect and Lyle Schnadt its main builder—although there were many others involved in building it over the years. The stained glass windows were designed by American artist James Hubbell and the murals in the auditorium are the work of Haydn Stubbings, an English artist. The Hall has a performance space, dance and recording studios and a Sanctuary. The auditorium is used for community meetings and celebrations as well as for conferences and performances. The Hall also houses the Blue Angel Café which is open daily.
