Findhorn wins the Kindred Spirit Award!

kindred spirit logoWe are thrilled to announce that the Findhorn Foundation and Community has won the 2013 Kindred Spirit Award in the Retreat/Healing Centre category.

Diana Whitmore, one of our trustees, collected our beautifully framed award statement at the evening ceremony held in London on 25th May as part of the Mind, Body, Spirit Festival. The community is buzzing with excitement at the news. It feels wonderful to have our work recognised in this way and we are happy and proud to have won this award. Diana shared her enthusiasm:

Hooray! We can be proud of our sincere, heartful, forward looking, healing and nurturing work in the world. It was my privilege and honour to represent us!

Kindred Spirit magazine has been sharing spiritual wisdom for 25 years and is the UK’s leading magazine for positive change. It offers a platform serving natural wisdom and the heart of all spiritual traditions. The Kindred Spirit Awards celebrate the people and places, throughout Europe, that make a difference to individuals' lives. The retreat/healing centre category was set up to recognise those running spiritual sanctuaries.

This is the second time running that the Foundation and Community has won the Kindred Spirit readers award. Previously, we were winners of The Best Workshop and Retreat Centre category and Alan Watson Featherstone, founder of the Findhorn Community's Trees For Life initiative, was shortlisted in the Most Inspirational Figure category.

“This recognition of our service to the world is a welcome boost of inspiration for those of us who are so absorbed in the day-to-day running of this ship." Kajedo Wanderer

We so much appreciate the support we receive from so many people all around the world and are very grateful for all of those who took the time to vote for us.
